Darren L Johnson is an expert on Letting Go of Stuff® and is known as the Letting Go Pro. He has written and published numerous articles on letting go. What makes him an expert? Glad you asked…
In 1994 Darren created and began teaching Letting Go of Stuff® He was asked in 1995 to be the keynote speaker for the Dickson County School system in Tennessee. That speech became a single cassette titled The Art of Letting Go of Stuff, a product that still sells today on his website – www.LettingGoOfStuff.info. In 2005 Darren published the book titled: Letting Go of Stuff: Powerful Secrets To Simplify Your Life. It has been favorably reviewed and is in its second printing.
Darren practices what he preaches. In 2004 he purchased his parent’s home in Nashville, TN. He spent the next five years “cleaning out” his parent’s home. During that time, he had to practice his own philosophy for letting go. Throughout his life in dealing with the loss of both his parents, financial hardship, experiencing divorce, pursuing his dreams (and making them come true), and in managing relationships in his life, Darren has applied his letting go concepts
Writing a book and having personal experiences are not the only things that make Darren an expert on Letting Go of Stuff®. He also has a masters of Science degree in organization development from American University in Washington, DC and a business degree from Tennessee State University. During his twenty-five year career stint, Darren has worked with fortune 100 companies such as General Motors and Nissan, USA. He combines personal experience, theory on change, and proven methods - all leading to success for his clients in the process of letting go of stuff.
Organizationally, Letting Go of Stuff® is an inside-out approach to redesigning the internal environment through the continued development of its employees and the system in which they work. At the individual level Letting Go of Stuff® includes learning how to change unwanted habits, manage relationships, communicate effectively, and accomplish personal goals.
